“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life…” Melody Beattie
As we enter the holiday months, I’m a few months into my term as president of the Ohio chapter. This unique perspective has given me the opportunity to see all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into running a successful chapter. The teamwork and camaraderie of our volunteers truly make me grateful to be part of such an organization.
We’re off to a great start! We started with a social event at Michael Angelo’s Winery in September where our discussion led to how to encourage student membership. The weather was beautiful, and the face-to-face interaction was a nice change. It was great to see everyone!
In October, we had an educational program about Where Technical Writers Meet Agile. The panelists even said that they learned something new, especially about how other companies use Agile. Look for the article in this month’s newsletter; there are some great links if you’re interested in Agile development.
We hope that you’ll join us for the networking lunch on November 16 in Akron. RSVP to Angie Dianetti.
We’ve been working with the Policies and Procedures (P&P) SIG to co-promote our programs. I encourage you to attend some of their programs. I’ve found them interesting and relevant to my job.
We’re planning a holiday get-together in December, so be sure to look for that invitation and join us!
