Spotlight on Jennifer Goode (and Mercer’s M.S. program)

If you have thought of getting your M.S. in technical communication, consider the program at Mercer University where you would work with Dr. Jennifer Goode. Goode is Director of the M.S. in Technical Communication Management Program at Mercer. As explained at the Mercer site:

The M.S. in Technical Communication Management was recently ranked 4th of 25 best online Master’s programs in communication. SR Education Group, who performs the rankings, writes that “inclusion on these lists shows high academic standards and a commitment to affordability.”

She has served as an online learning consultant, co-directed the world’s oldest online master’s program, and taught as an online instructor since 2005. Dr. Goode has served both government and higher education organizations in the areas of computer-based training, document production and management, strategic content development, and online course management.”

Goode holds a Ph.D. and M. Ed. from the University of Illinois and a B.S.. in technical communication from Mercer.“In the classroom, Dr. Goode relies heavily on client-based problems to provide students with curricular challenges and real-world experience. Many of these classroom projects have been coordinated with and supported by Mercer’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), Research that Reaches Out. Dr. Goode enjoys integrating creativity and technology in class projects to spark student engagement and spur their technical knowledge in the latest tech comm tools and technology.”

Her personal interests include spending time with her family, traveling, biking, cooking, and bird watching. She also likes “Downton Abbey” and “The Office.”
